Escaping a rocky writing career and a struggling vineyard in California, Elliot Johnson finds himself stranded in Canada en route to France. Due to his bit part in a growing Hollywood scandal, Elliot decides to lie low in Toronto, and bluffs his way to the top of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
