Agnes Grey

Agnes Grey was published in December 1847. Although it was sold exceptionally well, Agnes Grey was outshone by Emily Bronte's Wuthering Heights. Literaıy historians have seen in Anne Bronte's novels a realistic, rather than a romantic style. Her novels, like those of her sisters, have become part of the classics of the world and English literatüre.
